During spring break of 2019 I got a fall internship with WCCO Belting. WCCO Belting is located in Wahpeton, North Dakota. From October 2019 until the end of January 2020, I will be WCCO’s finance/accounting intern. During the break I was offered the position. The Friday before break I went to WCCO for a drug test, background check, and got my ID badge photo taken. Since WCCO’s accounting department is only 5 people, while I’m there I will be able to do many different things in the accounting department. I will get a lot of hands on experience that I won’t be able to get anywhere else. I will help with cash management, preparing deposits, processing payments, and reconciliations. I will also work with accounts payable, build financial statements, budget preparation, cost accounting, inventory, and auditing. I’m excited to put my schooling to work for their company.
